Another small competition completed as part of a previous competition studio, this project was completed in under a month. The brief was to create a comfortable tiny house situated on a lot in downtown buffalo that would otherwise be too small for other occupation. The space allotted was one full cargo container 10' x 40' and one half sized container 10' x 20'. The total potential surface area was only 600 sf.

The siting strategy for the house is to separate the 40' container into three equal parts, and then rearrange those pieces along with the 20' container into a configuration that maximizes the amount of surface area for the building. Both inside, and on top of the building. I maximized this by creating an additional 260 sf on the roof, totaling 860 sf.
